David Mescher, MD

Dr. David Mescher is board-certified in Internal Medicine as well as Pulmonary Medicine. He received his MD degree from the University of California San Francisco and did his internship and residencies at USC in Los Angeles. He has been in private practice since 1978 and joined Identity Medical Group in 2015.

Dr. Mescher's practice focuses on problems of the lung as well as general Internal Medicine. He has served as Clinical Integration Chairman for Ventura County, Southern California Integrated Care Network.

He practices in both Camarillo and Oxnard, and has the privilege of working with his daughter, Megan, who also practices Internal Medicine with Identity Medical Group in both communities.

Dr. Mescher has previously been Chief of Medicine five times at St Johns and Pleasant Valley Hospitals, and Chief of Staff at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He has served on the board of directors for managed care businesses since 1982. He earned a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Colorado in 1998.

On his off hours Dr. Mescher enjoys running and bicycling. His wife is a nurse at Pleasant Valley Hospital and also a trained chef.
